Where Your Dissatisfaction Leads You
There is an essential contact that people are searching for. It is the feeling that there is something more. Many people brush away this internal urging through stimulation of the outer senses, whether that be dopamine hits from social media, drugs, food, money, fame, sex, alcohol, emotional drama, TV, political advocacy, and even outer religious/spiritual practices. Anything that dulls that inner voice of dissatisfaction. People will spend their whole lifetime without looking at where that feeling is coming from and where it leads them to. They never really listen, and miss out consciously making that contact with the essence of God.
They might have moments of that greater contact. When they have a child, or meet their grandchild, and feel that intense love. When they fall truly in love. When they connect in a deep way with an internal satisfaction of the perfect moment. Fleeting glimpses of something more.
When people come to me with that dissatisfaction, that deeper knowing that there is something they are missing, I help them define what the experience is that they are longing for. They usually say it up front, but haven’t had it reflected back to them in a way that they can really understand what it is. It is enlightening to actually hear what you know you truly want.
Once they recognize the inner experience they are looking for, it becomes apparent that it is an experience that originates from the higher consciousness of their own Soul and their oneness with God. I’m simply there to assist in reconnecting their awareness to the Light of God, and to give them the support to experience that more directly in their lives.
I know that God loves this person in front of me, and that my main job is to let that loving and Light extend through me to this person who is asking for help in finding the deeper meaning. I know that they can connect to it with me until they build the strength to do it themselves, and when they finally are connected with that divine source of energy, others will connect to it by way of them. It’s like network marketing, but instead of money, you’re giving and getting more loving and Light.
I have plenty of tools and information at my disposal to help people find their way back to God, but the most important thing is to establish that inner connection. That spiritual contact takes place beyond and regardless of the personality inadequacies that we all enjoy.
When someone rediscovers the truth of their own beingness, they once again know what it is to be home. It is the loving that is of the Christ; the Light that is of the Spirit; and the Sound that is the current through creation from the heart of God. That is what it means to truly come home, to be welcomed with love once more into the heart of the Beloved.
