Everyone has opinions, and most of them are worthless…including yours. That can be a hard one to accept, because we wouldn’t hold an opinion if we didn’t think it was true. Your opinions will always make sense to you, because you formulate them from your experience, or rather, how you have interpreted your experience. When you add emotional content to your opinions, you end up with an opinionated consciousness which can block you from the clarity of higher awareness and from being open to the blessings available to you.
Living for your values is far superior to fighting for your opinions.
Opinions are those thoughts that you hold onto which in essence say ‘I am right and you are wrong.’ They are the ideas and beliefs that you righteously try to make others agree with and adhere to.
Values are higher principles that you attempt to live your life by, as an example of integrity. Values can be shared as an aspiration, whereas opinions create separation and contraction. Even if others agree with your opinions, it is a stagnant and closed way of relating to the world.
