Life is not always going to be pumpkin pie and whipped cream. There are going to be those times where everything seems to turn on its head, or that it all falls on top of your head. When you’re covered in manure, it can be hard sometimes to ignore the smell and keep going. But as the saying goes, with all this shit there must be a pony somewhere.
When confronted with those experiences that cause heartache, pain, and difficulty, the first question we often ask is some form of “Why?” You aren’t usually confronted by existential questions like that when you’re experience of life is all peachy and wonderful. Difficulty precipitates the search for understanding.
You intuitively know that there is something valuable buried in the challenges you are experiencing, and there’s an inner urging to know what that greater purpose is. It is in searching for purpose that you find strength to continue on, because that search is predicated on the innate knowing that there actually is a purpose to all of this.
Sometimes, on the road to completion, things get messy. As you are letting go of the old so that you can make room for the new, the process can be rather painful and not how you would like it to go. Logically, it can feel so unnecessary, but if you could see the karma then you would know the perfection of the action.
Just because you’ve been dealt a difficult hand, or things haven’t been so smooth lately, doesn’t mean that you are less valuable. In fact, your experiences in this life don’t say anything about your value as a human being.
You are innately valuable, and even when it doesn’t look like it, you have a lot to live for. You are also lovable, even when it feels like no one is there for you. And you can have good things in life, even if you aren’t currently experiencing much of that.
