What does it even mean to cooperate with God and align your actions towards Spirit?

Intention is the initial impulse of energy that creates organization from the formless. Though some of you may want to forget the physics classes you took in school, you may remember that a body in motion stays in motion, and a body at rest tends to stay at rest, unless another force acts upon it. In terms of consciousness, that force is intention.

In the definition of the word intention that I am using, when something is an intention it is demonstrated. It isn’t something that you “meant to do”, or that you intended to do something well but didn’t. That isn’t intention how I am using it. Intention is the actual impetus that comes into creation as seen by the results of your actions.

If you want to know someone’s intention, just look at their actions rather than listen to their words.

Let’s look at how this works using exercise as an example. If you wait for the energy to go exercise, you will probably never exercise. You have to exercise in order to get the energy to exercise.

Take the activity of running, for instance. There is an energy impulse with which you choose to start moving towards the thought or idea of running. You put that thought into action by getting up, putting your shoes on, and getting out the door. You have to start running and then you will get the energy to keep running. It feels like it should be the other way around, you should have the energy to run and then go for your run, but the universal experience says otherwise.

Breaking it down, you have the initial impulse or intention, which translates to movement or action and is met by the energy of Spirit.

“Spirit meets you at the point of your action.” -John-Roger

This principle doesn’t just work in the physical experience, but also in the level of consciousness we create from.
